Chrome extension troubleshooting
Fixes for the messages the Moodiri Chrome extension shows: no product detected, failed extraction, bot checks, key problems and limits.
Most problems with the extension come down to the page it is reading, the API key it uses, or a limit. This page lists the messages the extension shows and what to do about each one.
No product detected
No product detected with This doesn't look like a product page means the extension could not tell the page is a single product. If it is, choose Try anyway. When that capture works, the extension remembers the website, so it recognises product pages there next time.
On a category or search page, open one product first.
Extraction failed
Extraction failed appears when the product details could not be read. Choose Try again. If it keeps failing:
- This site is challenging the connection (bot check). Reload the page once, then capture again.
- Could not capture page content. Try refreshing the page. Wait for the page to finish loading, refresh, and capture again.
- Rate limit reached (30/hour). Try again later. Your firm has made 30 captures in the last hour. Wait and try again.
Key and connection problems
- No API key configured. Set it in the extension popup. Paste your key into the extension. See Install and connect.
- Invalid key format. Keys start with "mry_". Copy the whole key again.
- API key expired or revoked. Please re-enter your key. Create a new key in Settings > Browser Extension and paste it in.
Saving problems
- That destination no longer exists — pick another. The space or section was removed while you were capturing. Choose another one.
- Failed to save product. Choose the destination again. If it still fails, choose Cancel & re-spec and capture the page again.
Monthly captures
Captures count towards your firm's monthly captures. After a capture, the panel shows how many are left, and it says when they are used up. See how many you have used, and when they reset, under Usage this month in Settings > Browser Extension.
Questions
The extension doesn't open on some pages. Why?
Chrome does not let extensions run on its own pages, such as the new tab page or settings. Open a product page on a website and try again.
The captured price or size is wrong. Can I fix it?
Yes. Edit the product in Moodiri after adding it. Product pages differ a lot, so check key details before sending them to a client.
