# Get the client's approval on designs and products

> Get an explicit approve or request-changes from your client on every decision, with a record you can point to later.

## Why this matters

A decision that only lives in an email or a phone call is hard to prove months later, when an order is questioned. Sending it through Moodiri gives every choice a clear answer from your client, stamped with the date and who made it.

## The steps

1. [Create an approval request](https://docs.moodiri.com/approvals/create-an-approval-request): Put up to three options in front of your client with the context they need.
2. [Send a product for approval or approve it directly](https://docs.moodiri.com/products/send-a-product-for-approval-or-approve-it-directly): Send a single product for approval, or approve it yourself when the client has already agreed.
3. [Approve or request changes](https://docs.moodiri.com/for-clients/approve-or-request-changes): Your client picks an option and approves it, or asks for changes with a note.
4. [Approval details](https://docs.moodiri.com/approvals/approval-details): Follow the response, review requested changes, resend, or close the request.
5. [Decide on behalf of the client](https://docs.moodiri.com/approvals/decide-on-behalf-of-the-client): Record a decision your client gave you by phone or in person, with a note.

## Good to know

- Your client can work through several open decisions in one sitting with **Review your designs** in the portal.
- Requests with a due date are marked when they're close and when they're overdue, for you and your client.
- Your client can change their answer until you close the request.
