# What is Moodiri

> Moodiri runs an interior-design firm in one place: projects, rooms, products, client approvals, invoices, payments, files, time and a branded client portal.

Moodiri is the operating system for an interior-design firm. It keeps each project's
rooms, product selections, client decisions, invoices and files together, and gives
your clients a branded portal where they review, approve and pay. Instead of
spreadsheets for specs, email for approvals and a separate tool for billing, the
whole job lives on the project.

## How the pieces fit

- **Projects** hold everything for one client job, for example *Lombard Street Loft* for Alex Rivera. See [Projects list](https://docs.moodiri.com/projects/projects-list).
- **Spaces** are the rooms in a project, such as the kitchen or primary bedroom. See [Spaces list](https://docs.moodiri.com/spaces/spaces-list).
- **Products** are the items you specify for each space, with costs, client pricing and procurement status. See [Products in a space](https://docs.moodiri.com/products/products-in-a-space).
- **Approvals** put options in front of your client and record their answer. See [How approvals work](https://docs.moodiri.com/approvals/how-approvals-work).
- **Invoices** bill products, design fees and logged time, and clients pay online through Stripe. See [How invoicing works](https://docs.moodiri.com/invoices/how-invoicing-works).
- **Files** store drawings, contracts, images and PDFs, and you choose which ones the client sees. See [Files](https://docs.moodiri.com/files-and-documents/files).
- **Messages** keep client conversations and team chat grouped by the work they belong to. See [Messages workspace](https://docs.moodiri.com/messages-and-chat/messages-workspace).
- **Time** tracks hours, timesheets and billing for logged work. See [Time overview and access levels](https://docs.moodiri.com/time-tracking/time-overview-and-access-levels).
- **The Library** stores products and families you reuse across projects. See [Library](https://docs.moodiri.com/library/library-overview).

## The client portal

Your clients see a portal with your firm's name, logo and colors. They can view the
spaces and selections you share, answer briefs, approve options, chat with you, open
shared documents and pay invoices. Costs, markup and internal notes never appear
there. See [How the portal works](https://docs.moodiri.com/client-portal/how-the-portal-works).

## Who it is for

- **Firm owners** who set up the business, payouts and team.
- **Designers and project managers** who run projects day to day.
- **Clients** who review, approve and pay through the portal. Their help pages are under [For clients](https://docs.moodiri.com/for-clients/overview).

## Questions

### Do my clients need a Moodiri account?

No. Clients sign in to your branded client portal, which is separate from the app your team uses. You invite them from a project.

### Can my whole team use the same workspace?

Yes. The firm owner invites teammates as Admins or Members, and each person gets their own sign-in. See [Plans, roles and feature availability](https://docs.moodiri.com/getting-started/plans-roles-and-feature-availability).
