Callout 1: Team

Moodiri decides what each teammate can do with a role, plus a set of extra
permissions an Owner can hand to Admins. That way your bookkeeper can manage
billing without changing your branding, and a junior designer can work on projects
without touching money. You manage all of this in [Team](https://docs.moodiri.com/settings/team).

## Plans and seats

Every firm gets the same features. Your subscription is billed monthly or annually
and includes your own seat; each additional teammate uses one more paid seat, and a
pending invitation reserves a seat until it is accepted. See
[Billing and subscription](https://docs.moodiri.com/settings/billing-and-subscription) and
[Seats](https://docs.moodiri.com/settings/manage-seats).

## Roles: Owner, Admin, Member

- **Owner**: always has every permission, and it can't be taken away. The Owner sets up the firm and is the only one who manages Admins and other Owners.
- **Admin**: has the standard admin capabilities, such as creating projects, clients and invoices and managing Members, plus any permissions the Owner delegates.
- **Member**: does day-to-day project work. Members have none of the delegable permissions below, and they can't create projects, clients or invoices.

Admins can manage ordinary Members only. Only an Owner can change an Admin.

## Admin permission presets (Standard, Full access, Custom)

When you invite or edit an Admin, choose a preset:

- **Standard**: core Admin access without any owner-delegated permissions.
- **Full access**: every delegable permission, including ones Moodiri adds later. Ownership safeguards stay with the Owner.
- **Custom**: choose individual permissions from the list below.

Only an Owner can invite an Admin or change an Admin's permissions. See
[Roles and admin permissions](https://docs.moodiri.com/settings/set-roles-and-admin-permissions).

## Permission: Firm settings

Update the firm profile, branding and workspace settings, such as your business name,
logo, portal address and brand color.

## Permission: Client-facing identity

Choose which teammate represents the firm to clients: the contact shown in the portal
and used as the reply-to on project emails.

## Permission: Project managers

Assign project responsibility to teammates, including the default project manager for
new projects.

## Permission: Invoice copy settings

Choose who receives copies of invoice emails.

## Permission: Subscription billing

Manage seats, payment methods and your Moodiri subscription.

## Permission: Payouts

Manage payouts and your connected Stripe account, where client payments are paid out.

## Permission: Integrations

Connect and manage integrations such as QuickBooks.

## Permission: Time tracking

Manage time settings, project assignments and timesheet approvals, and disconnect or
revoke teammates' calendar connections. Billing logged time on an invoice also needs
this permission.

## Permission: Delete clients

Permanently remove client records.

## Permission: Delete projects

Permanently remove projects.

## Features that are rolled out per account

Moodiri sometimes turns a new feature on firm by firm while it rolls out, so a menu
item or tab can appear for one firm before another. The features currently released
to every firm are listed in [Feature availability](https://docs.moodiri.com/reference/feature-availability).
If something described in these docs is missing from your workspace, contact
support@moodiri.com.

## Limits

- The Owner's permissions can't be reduced.
- Admins manage Members only; Admins and Owners are managed by an Owner.
- Each teammate, and each pending invitation, uses one paid seat.

## Questions

### Can an Admin promote someone to Admin?

No. Only an Owner can invite an Admin, change someone's role, or change an Admin's permissions. Admins can manage Members.

### Does a Member see invoices and payments?

Members can't create invoices, and they never see payment proofs, refund receipts or tax-exemption certificates in Files. Owners and Admins do.

### Do pending invitations count against my seats?

Yes. An invitation reserves a paid seat until it's accepted or cancelled.
